Have you ever found yourself struggling to accomplish everything on your to-do list, feeling like there are not enough hours in the day? If so, you're not alone.
In this business tip, I'm going to share with you 2 rules I use on how to get more done with less time.
The truth is, time management is a misnomer. We can't manage time, it just slips away, and we'll never get it back. But what we can do is be more effective with our time and do the things we really want to do.
Here are my two rules to get more done with less effort.
The first rule... is to accept that we can't do everything.
There will always be too much to do. So, take a long look at all the things you're currently doing with your time. Prioritize them and get clear on the most important ones. Use a diary to keep track of where your time goes and review it at the end of each day. Build up your awareness of time-wasting habits.
The second rule.... is to live with a purpose and decide how you really want to spend your time.
What were your dreams when you were younger? What are your dreams now? What do you want to leave as your legacy? Unless we answer these questions and start living the kind of life we really want to, then we will only store up more and more regrets.
So, how can you be more effective with your time? Well, one key ingredient is to focus on doing the bigger, more important tasks first. This helps build incredible momentum, stops procrastination, and inspires others to help us by showing how serious we are about achieving our goals and the success we desire.
If you're feeling overwhelmed and don't know where to start, I invite you to schedule a complimentary strategy session with me. During this session, we'll discuss your goals and challenges, and I'll guide you on how to get more done in less time.
Remember, never put off until tomorrow what can be done today because tomorrow never comes.
